Microsoft to acquire Xamarin

So it's official - Microsoft is to acquire Xamarin.

Is this good news? I think so. It will bring Microsoft's resources right behind the Xamarin team. It will be interesting to see how this affects Xamarin licensing. Will it be included in MSDN? Hopefully so.

Equally, how Xamarin University and Xamarin certification aligns with Microsoft certification could be a moot point - especially for those Xamarin engineers who have already acquired Xamarin certification.

I'm sure that there will be more comment on this, but on balance - good news!
